Analisis Batimetri Dan Laju Sedimentasi Di Muara Sungai Masjid Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau
Along the flow of the Mesjid River Estuary, there has been a lot of land clearing, especially for agriculture and plantations. This is one of the sources of sediment material entering the waters of the Rupat Strait through the Mesjid River Estuary, causing sediment accumulation in the river estuary area. In addition, sedimentation or deposition will result in shallowing of the waters or the addition of land in the Mosque River Estuary. This study aims to determine the form of the bottom topography of the waters of the Mosque River Estuary, analyze the sedimentation rate and sediment characteristics, and determine sediment transport in the Mosque River Estuary. This study uses survey methods and descriptive statistics by taking direct data in the field and then processing and analyzing it. Based on the results of the analysis, the bathymetric conditions show a depth of between 0.5 and 7.5 meters with a contour interval of 0.5. The sedimentation rate ranges from 8.41 cm/year to 12.37 cm/year with an average of 10.53 cm/year with a transport of 10,723.19 grams/second or equivalent to 338.2 tons/year, so that there is the potential for shallowing over a long period of time which will disrupt shipping lane activities in the Masjid River Estuary.
