Pengaruh Pemberian Air Kelapa Dengan Konsentrasi Berbeda Melalui Perendaman Terhadap Maskulinisasi Ikan Molly (Poecilia Sphenops)
Golden black molly is one type of attractive freshwater ornamental fish with a unique charm, as is common in ornamental fish, male golden black molly are preferred over female golden black molly because male golden black molly have a slender body shape, bright body color, and wide fins. Alternatives used to replace synthetic hormones are using natural ingredients such as coconut water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coconut water with different concentrations on the masculinization of golden black molly (Poecilia sphenops) and to determine the best concentration in masculinizing golden black molly. The benefits of this study are that it can provide scientific information about the effect of giving coconut water with different concentrations through soaking on the masculinization of golden black molly (Poecilia sphenops) and can save production costs by using natural ingredients that are easily available and also applied to further research. The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) using 5 treatment levels and 4 replicates. Where P0 (Control), P1 (Coconut Water 100 ml/L), P2 (Coconut Water 150 ml/L), P3 (Coconut Water 200 ml/L), P4 (Coconut Water 250 ml/L). The best results of this study were obtained in P4, namely the provision of coconut water as much as 250 ml / L (P4), with a percentage of male golden black molly amounting to 70.17 ± 7.69 , the percentage of survival of the mother during immersion is 100%, the survival during larval rearing is 98.08 ± 3.84a.
