Analisis Keterampilan Menulis Karangan Narasi Siswa Kelas V SDN 178 Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the low skills of writing narrative essays for fifth
grade students at State Elementary School 178 Pekanbaru. This study aims to
determine the skills of fifth graders at State Elementary School 178 Pekanbaru in
writing narrative essays. The type of research that will be used by the researcher is
descriptive quantitative. In this study to collect data the researchers used a test
technique. Researchers condition students to write narrative essays freely at least
four paragraphs and a maximum of six paragraphs with each paragraph containing
at least two sentences according to the theme, namely holidays. The technique
used in analyzing is by collecting the results of the composing test, then the
researcher collects or assesses based on aspects according to the instrument,
making it easier for researchers to analyze the data. The data was analyzed by
reading each narrative essay and finally calculating the number of correct scores
individually using a formula. Based on the results of data analysis that has been
carried out, the researchers conclude that the level of ability to write narrative
essays for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 178 Pekanbaru is included in the
"Enough" category..
