Daya Saing Usahatani Jagung Pipil Di Desa Pansurnatolu Kecamatan Pangaribuan Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara
Corn is one of the three main food commodities, after peanuts and soybeans, which is planned as the main target in achieving the goal. Increased economic competitiveness is an important aspect in the face of global trade, the commodity of peach corn, which is a commodities with a wide range of benefits that can be transformed into feed, industrial raw materials, and fuel for ethanol. The study aims to analyze the competitiveness of the corn industry competitively and comparatively. The research was carried out in the Pansurnatolu village of Pangaribuan district of Tapanuli North, involving 30 respondents of peel corn farmers. The data obtained is processed using the Policy Analysis Matrix method. The results of the research show that the use of peach corn in Pansurnatolu Village has a competitive advantage and comparative advantage with a PCR coefficient value of 0.39 and a DRCR cofficient of 0.47. This information can be used as a reference in the formulation of operational policies for increased corn production to meet domestic needs, even for exports. Governments can maintain programs that can protect and encourage domestic corn farmers.
