Pengayaan Pakan Pastaterfermentasi Dengan Ekstrak Temulawak Dan Kencur Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Larva Ikan Baung (Hemibagrus Nemurus)

Asian redtail catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) is an economically important freshwater fish in Indonesia with promising market prospects. A major constraint in Baung catfish aquaculture is the limited availability of seeds due to the low survival rate of larvae. One critical factor influencing the success of larval rearing is the provision of appropriate feed, considering aspects such as type, size, nutritional value, and timing of feeding. The best feed for post-larval Baung catfish is silk worms. However, the availability of natural feed is limited, necessitating the use of artificial feed in the form of fermented paste. To meet nutritional requirements, enrichment with extracts of temulawak and galangal is proposed. This study was conducted from January to February 2025 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Riau Universitas. The objective of this research is to determine the effect of enriching fermented paste feed with extracts of temulawak and galangal on the growth and survival rate of Baung catfish larvae, as well as to identify the optimal dosage of these extracts. The methodology employed was an experimental design using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, consisting of five treatment levels and three replications. The treatments included P1 with a dosage of 2 g/100 g of feed, P2 with a dosage of 4 g/100 g of feed, P3 with a dosage of 6 g/100 g of feed, P4 with a dosage of 8 g/100 g of feed, and P5 with a dosage of 10 g/100 g of feed. The results indicated that the best treatment was P1 (2 g/100 g of feed), which yielded an absolute weight of 0.80 g, an absolute length of 3.46 cm, a specific growth rate of 12.27%, and a survival rate of 72.50%..
