Perencanaan Dan Pembuatan Mesin Pengayak Pasir Dengan Sistem Berputar Untuk Mendukung Proses Konstruksi
ABSTRACT
Sand is an important material in the construction industry, but it often contains impurities such as gravel and clay that reduce its quality. Manual screening is still widely used, but this method is inefficient and requires a lot of labor. To overcome these obstacles, a sand screening machine with a rotating system was planned and manufactured that can increase the efficiency and quality of screening. This machine uses a cylindrical drum mechanisme that rotates continuously to automatically separate sand from coarse materials. The design and manufacturing process involves several manufacturing stages such as turning, cutting, drilling, bending, and welding, as well as assembling components such as frames, filter tubes, shafts, electric motors, and gearboxes. The test results show that the machine is able to screen dry sand with an average time of 5.96 seconds per 6 kg and an effective capacity of 3.6 tons/hour. Thus, this machine has proven effective in accelerating the sand screening process and reducing dependence on manual labor, thus greatly supporting increased productivity and quality in construction projects.
