Optimasi Dosis Biosorben, Ph Dan Waktu Kontak Pada Penjerapan Zat Warna Methylene Blue Menggunakan Serbuk Buah Jabon Putih (Anthocephalus Cadamba Miq.) Terkombinasi Asam Humat
White jabon fruit (Anthocephalus cadamba Miq.) is one of the biosorbents that has the potential to adsorb methylene blue dye because it has high cellulose content. The ability of white jabaon fruit powder can be improved through activation. Activation using NaOH is expected to increase the surface area and multiply the active sites on the white jabon fruit biosorbent. This study aims to determine the efficiency and capacity of white jabon fruit biosorbent in adsorbing Methylene Blue and determine the appropriate adsorption kinetics model. The method used in this research is batch adsorption of Methylene Blue using biosorbent variations (0.1; 0.125; 0.15; 0.175 and 0.2 g), pH (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10) and contact time variations (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 minutes). The surface morphology of the biosorbent was analyzed using SEM-EDS. The functional groups of biosorbent were analyzed using FTIR instrument. Analysis using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer was used to determine the absorbance of Methylene Blue before and after adsorption. Adsorption parameters were obtained at the optimum biosorbent dose of 0.175 g, pHpzc 4.5, optimum solution pH 6 and optimum contact time of 60 minutes with adsorption efficiency of 93.58% and adsorption capacity of 13.3138 mg/g. The adsorption kinetics model is in accordance with the second order pseudo assuming that the adsorption process occurs chemically with R2 of 0.9999 with a reaction rate constant of -0.3673 g/mg min. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that white jabon fruit biosorbent is effective in adsorbing Methylene Blue and parameters biosorbent dosage, solution pH and contact time are proven to affect the efficiency and capacity of adsorption
