Aktivitas Metabolit Sekunder Pseudomonas Aeruginosa A.T.2 : Uji Antibakteri Dan Antidiabetes Secara In Vivo
The use of synthetic drugs and antibiotics in diabetics can lead to complications and antibiotic resistance making infections more difficult to treat. The ability of endophytic bacteria to produce the same bioactive compounds as their host plants in a short time is an opportunity as a source of natural antidiabetic and antibacterial medicine. Pseudomonas aeruginosa A.T.2 has antidiabetic and antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study was to test activity of secondary metabolite P. aeruginosa A.T.2 as antibacterial against the test bacteria Escherichia coli ATCC35218 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC6538 and test the antidiabetic activity in vivo against male mice. Based on the antibacterial test, the secondary metabolite extract of P. aeruginosa A.T.2 was able to inhibit the growth of test bacteria by producing a clear zone diameter of 20.64 ± 1.99 mm against E. coli ATCC35218 and 11.57 ± 1.42 mm against S. aureus. Antidiabetic activity test based on LSD test showed a significant difference in blood sugar (p
