Analisis Keberlanjutan Usaha Tani Cabai Rawit Di Kecamatan Rumbai Barat Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Rumbai Barat District is a center for cayenne pepper production in Pekanbaru City. Cayenne pepper farming experiences problems that affect the sustainability of farming businesses such as non-own land, pest and disease attacks, and fluctuations in selling prices. The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the sustainability status of cayenne pepper farming businesses and to determine the sensitive attributes of cayenne pepper farming businesses in Rumbai Barat District. The research method used a survey method with a sample size of 34 people taken by census. Data analysis used the MDS (Multi Dimensional Scalling) method through the RAP-Chili analysis tool. The results of the study showed the sustainability status of cayenne pepper farming businesses in Rumbai Barat District with a fairly sustainable category with an index value of 50.69. The economic dimension has a status of less sustainable with an index value of 47.53, the ecological dimension has a fairly sustainable status with an index value of 50.89, and the social dimension has a fairly sustainable status with an index value of 53.84. Sensitive attributes in each dimension are: the economic dimension is land area; the ecological dimension is pest and disease attacks; and the social dimension is participation in farmer group activities.
