Perencanaan Tebal Perkerasan Kaku Dengan Metode Manual Desain Perkerasan Jalan 2024 Studi Kasus Jalan Merpati Sakti Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT Merpati Sakti Street in Pekanbaru City has experienced significant damage due to increased traffic volume and vehicle loads. Based on previous studies, the road’s condition is categorized as 'very poor' with a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) of 21.5. This study aims to design the thickness of a rigid pavement using the 2024 Road Pavement Design Manual method to enhance the road’s durability and service life. Calculations were performed by considering various technical parameters, including average daily traffic, traffic growth factor, cumulative equivalent single-axle load (CESAL), and subgrade bearing capacity based on Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) tests. The results indicate that the optimal rigid pavement thickness for Merpati Sakti Road is 200 mm for the concrete slab, with a 100 mm lean mix concrete (LMC) base layer and a 250 mm Class A aggregate layer. Key design determinants include a 1% traffic growth rate and a subgrade CBR value of 0,84%. The detailed design incorporates plain-woven reinforcement (Ø8 mm) for the concrete slab, Ø16 mm tie bars (700 mm long), and Ø25 mm dowels (450 mm long, spaced at 300 mm). Implementing this rigid pavement is expected to improve road quality, reduce maintenance costs, and support smoother transportation in the area.
