Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Baung Hemibagrus Nemurus (Valenciennes, 1840) Dari Perairan Sungai Siak Kota Pekanbaru
Hemibagrus nemurus (Valenciennes, 1840) is one of the freshwater fish with high economic value and popular with the public. The bream in Siak River, Pekanbaru City, faces pressure due to environmental pollution, especially by heavy metals. This study aims to determine the growth pattern of baung fish and the quality of Siak River waters. The research was conducted in 2 locations, namely Kecamatan Lima Puluh and Rumbai Pesisir. Samples were 30 fish in each location. The research data were analyzed using the Linear Allometric Model (LAM). The results showed that the growth pattern of mackerel in Kecamatan Lima Puluh was W = 0.323L1.89, r=0,65, R2= 0,42 and Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir W = 0.009L2.96, r=0,77, R2= 0,59. The growth pattern of baung fish in the 2 locations has a negative allometric growth pattern (b20 cm) and high dissolved oxygen 5.9-6.5 mg/L. The physico-chemical condition of the water at the 2 sites was quite good. The negative allometric growth pattern in the Baung fish study at the 2 locations is likely due to the lack of food availability and heavy metal polluted water conditions.
