studi tentang kampung Pancasila dalam membangun kebhinnekaan masyarakat di kelurahan selatpanjang barat
Indonesia is a nation rich in ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity, yet it frequently
faces challenges such as identity conflicts and intolerance. Observations indicate a
highly diverse population in Selatpanjang Barat, comprising ethnic groups such as
Chinese, Malay, Minangkabau, and Javanese, and adherents of Islam, Buddhism,
Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, and Confucianism. This study employs a
qualitative method using observation, interviews, and documentation. A total of 11
informants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of 4 religious
leaders, 1 traditional Malay leader, 4 local residents or neighborhood
representatives (RW), and 2 village officials. The research aims to explore how the
concept of Kampung Pancasila is implemented in the daily lives of Selatpanjang
Barat residents and how it contributes to fostering pluralism. The findings reveal
that Kampung Pancasila successfully embodies the core values of Pancasila in
promoting tolerance and diversity. This is reflected in the mutual respect for
religious and cultural differences through shared celebrations such as Chinese New
Year, Christmas, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha. The spirit of communal cooperation
(gotong royong) is evident in regular monthly clean-up activities and joint
preparations for events like the Lampu Colok festival and Chinese New Year.
Finally, the effort to ensure justice for all citizens is shown in how local authorities
provide a safe and non-discriminatory space for individuals to practice their beliefs
freely. The village fosters a harmonious and inclusive environment with a strong
commitment to pluralism.
