Pengaruh Penerapan Model Eliciting Activities Terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Dan Disposisi Matematis Siswa SMP Negeri Kota Pekanbaru
In the 21st century in the world of education, one of the skills needed is mathematical communication skills. The results of PISA 2018 showed that Indonesia's mathematical ability out of 73 countries was in 7th position from the bottom. The skills tested by PISA include communication and using mathematical symbols. Communication skills can be optimized if teachers know the extent of students' mathematical communication process skills in solving problems. In addition to mathematical communication skills, there are affective aspects that also play a role in students understanding mathematics well, namely mathematical disposition. Efforts to create optimal mathematical communication skills and mathematical dispositions are to create interactive classes that can make learning more meaningful by solving real problems in the form of mathematical models by implementing the Eliciting Activities (MEAs) model.
The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the results of comprehensive research on the influence of MEAs on students' mathematical communication skills and mathematical dispositions as a whole and the student KAM group; 2) describe the results of the study comprehensively on the interaction between learning factors and KAM factors on improving students' mathematical communication skills and mathematical dispositions. The benefits of this study are to provide input for teachers and education practitioners related to the implementation of MEAs and to broaden researchers' insights related to MEAs.....
