Analisis Kinerja Jalan Nasional Ruas Marpoyan – Batas Kuansing Dengan Menggunakan Metode Pkji 2023

ABSTRACT
Marpoyan – Batas Kuansing is part of a road network classified as an interurban
road type. The level of service (LOS) is used to indicate the quality of service
provided by a road under certain conditions. The LOS reflects whether a road
segment has capacity issues or not. Changes in the LOS relative to the available
capacity indicate whether the road can still maintain a service level below category
E. The data calculation follows the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI
2023) for interurban roads. The analysis was conducted by calculating the volumeto-
capacity ratio for each road segment. Traffic volume growth rates of 5.5% and
10% were used based on PDGJ, as well as 2.23% based on historical data. The
results show that the segments reaching category E the earliest are segments 1, 2,
8, 14, and 15, which experience the highest change in LOS compared to other
segments. These segments reach category E in 2044 with a traffic growth rate of
2.23%, and in 2031 with a traffic growth rate of 5.5%. With a 10% growth rate, all
segments exceed category E as early as 2027. Therefore, measures such as road
widening on certain segments are needed to maintain the optimal performance of
this national road. With a 2.23% growth rate, the LOS can be maintained according
to PKJI 2023 standards (V/C < 0.85 or within category E) until beyond the
projected analysis period. With a 5.5% growth rate, it can only be maintained until
2034, and with a 10% growth rate, only until 2029. This study can serve as a
reference for planning and policy-making in road capacity improvement.
