Penilaian Kinerja Sistem Drainase Perkotaan Jalan Arifin Ahmad Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
As cities develop, problems related to urban drainage systems become increasingly
complex. This is also the case in Pekanbaru, particularly on Jalan Arifin Ahmad,
which plays a strategic role in supporting community mobility. Suboptimal
drainage conditions, high levels of development, and land use changes cause
flooding during the rainy season. These floods disrupt transportation, community
activities, damage infrastructure, and increase the risk of traffic accidents.
Therefore, an assessment of the drainage system performance on Jalan Arifin
Ahmad is necessary to evaluate the physical and non-physical indicators of the
drainage system's performance and improve its performance. The stages of
assessing the performance of the drainage system on Jalan Arifin Ahmad in
Pekanbaru are carried out based on the Minister of Public Works Regulation No.
12 of 2014 and the book Drainage Field Material II, Dissemination and
Socialization of Environmental Health Engineering in Housing (PLP) 2013. This
assessment method was based on expert judgment regarding the physical and non-
physical indicators of drainage system performance. The results of the study show
that based on the calculation of physical data assessment, 4,92% of the left section
and 1,35% of the right section, are included in the “Very Good” assessment scale.
The infrastructure function assessment is 63,31% for the left section and 62,45%
for the right section, which are included in the “Fair” assessment scale. while
based on the drainage system performance assessment questionnaire, the score of
7.856,74 falls into the “Fair” assessment category. Therefore, the performance of
the physical drainage system on Arifin Ahmad Road needs to be improved,
especially in terms of the physical indicators of the drainage system, so that the
drainage system functions optimally to overcome flooding problems.
