Kandungan Logam Berat Pb Dan Cd Pada Ikan Mas (Cyprinus Carpio) Dan Baung (Hemibagrus Nemurus) Di Waduk Plta Koto Panjang, Provinsi Riau
Cyprius Carpio and Hemibagrus Nemurus are commonly found in the Koto panjang
Dam. Around the dam, however, many anthropogenic activities produce heavy metal that
enter the water and thus accumulate in the organisms living in that area. A study aims to
understand the heavy metal content in gill, muscle and kidney of C. Carpio and H. Nemurus
living in that dam has been conducted in April 2019. Samplings were conducted 2 times,
once/ 2 weeks. Results shown that the heavy metal content in C. Carpio were as follows:
Pb 0.0665 mg/kg; Cd 0.0364 mg/kg; (gill); Pb 0.0920 mg/kg; Cd 0.0448 mg/kg (kidney) and
Pb 0.0496 mg/kg; Cd 0.0311 mg/kg (muscle). In H. Nemurus , the heavy metals were Pb
0.0870 mg/kg; Cd 0.0655 mg/kg (gill); Pb 0.1409 mg/kg; Cd 0.0873 mg/kg (kidney) and Pb
0.0587 mg/kg; Cd 0.0300 mg/kg (muscle). Water quality parameters were as follows: pH 6-
6.7, temperature 28-33°C, DO 5.42-7.14, brightness 1.5-2.5 m and depth 22-55 m. Based on
data obtained, it can be concluded that the heavy metals content in fish were relatively low.
Key words: Koto Panjang Reservoir, heavy metal, Cyprius Carpio and Hemibagrus Nemurus
