Analisis Kemampuan Siswa Dalam Memaknai Puisi Di Kelas V SDN 194 Pekanbaru

This study aims to determine the understanding of student interpreting poetry in Class V SDN 194 Pekanbaru. The method in this research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The sampling technique was carried out by saturated sampling, data colecction using research instruments. The population in this study were all students of Class V SDN 194 Pekanbaru. The results of the analysis of interpreting poetry in Class V SDN 194 Pekanbaru were selected as a whole according to the sample used by the researcher. Based on the recapitulation of students of students ability to interpret poetry based on the content of the poetry, the meaning of words and mendate got an average score of 70 in the sufficient category. As for the students understanding in interpreting poetry in Class V SDN 194 Pekanbaru with a total value of 8875 out of 126 students 9 students got very good category, 24 students got good category, 69 students got enough category and 24 students got poor category. From the average obtained, it shoes that the students understanding of interpreting poetry in Class V SDN 194 Pekanbaru obtained fairly good results with sufficient categories and those that had not been mastered were very good categories because basically students did out understand the meaning of some of the poems.
