Implementasikemampuan Guru Dalam Mengajarkan Keterampilan Menulis Permulaan Bagi Anak Tunagrahita Di SDLB Kasih Ibu Pekanbaru
This study aims to describe the teacher's ability to teach early writing skills for mentally retarded children at SDLB Kasih Ibu Pekanbaru. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were low grade mentally retarded teachers at SDLB Kasih Ibu Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used in this study include: observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research conducted, found the fact that the teacher's ability to teach introductory writing was going well. The indicator for assessing pre-writing skills that often appears is that the teacher delivers the subject matter of introductory writing, that are the introduction of letters and numbers, knowing the level of student ability in learning and knowing the learning environment. From the result it is known that the teacher prepares teaching and learning well. In teaching preliminary writing, the teacher sometimes uses learning media in the form of pictures of objects and letter cards, as well as media that are in accordance with the material and abilities of mentally retarded students. This data is also strengthened by the results of interviews with classroom teachers who state that the teacher's ability to teach preliminary writing is strongly influenced by teacher creativity in using existing infrastructure to create conductive, effective and efficient learning.
