Analisis Minat Baca Mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan Dan Ilmu Pendidikan Di Perpustakaan Universitas Riau
This study aims to describe the reading interest of elementary school teacher education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the Riau University library. Descriptive quantitative method was used to get a picture of the reading interest of elementary school teacher education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the Riau University library. The sample of this study were students of Riau University Elementary School Teacher Education, amounting to 113 people. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire related to reading interest which consists of positive and negative statements, with answers in the form of always, often, sometimes and never choices. The results showed that the reading interest of elementary school teacher education students, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University was in the high category with a percentage of 66.2%. Factors that influence student's interest in reading consist of encouragement, social motives, emotions, learning situations and experiences. So, the factor that has the largest contribution is the encouragement factor with an overall percentage of 22.4%. These results also show that the factors that influence students' reading interest are very diverse.
