Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Cerita Rakyat Kelas V SDN 161 Pekanbaru
This research was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students at SDN 161 Pekanbaru with an average of 65.33. Therefore, this study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade folklore. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were VA class with 30 students consisting of 17 male students and 13 female students. The results showed that classical completeness in the first cycle was 66.67%, an increase in the second cycle of 86.67%. Teacher activity increased at each meeting, namely the first meeting 70.83%, the second meeting 79.16%, the third meeting 83.33%, and the fourth meeting 87.50%. Likewise, student activity increased at each meeting 62.50%, 70.83%, 79.16%, and 87.50%. The average score for the first cycle increased by 19.37% and the basic score for the second cycle increased by 31.97%. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model type cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) can improve reading comprehension skills of folklore class VA SDN 161 Pekanbaru.
