Pengembangan Bahan Ajar IPA SD Kelas V Berbasis Hots (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Dengan Tampilan Majalah
This research is motivated by the importance of science in improving the quality of individuals towards an educated life. In the Industrial 4.0 era, it requires students to think at a high level and be able to connect various learning concepts learned to solve problems in everyday life. Conventional learning that emphasizes the ability to remember and the application process in life is very simple, making students not proficient in critical thinking about the problems at hand, for that the need for innovation is one of them by developing teaching materials with a fresh appearance and adapting to the demands of the times. This study aims to develop a magazine based on high-order thinking skills (mbhots) for science teaching materials in elementary school. With HOTS-based, students are expected to develop high-level thinking skills and be able to solve problems in their daily lives. The full-color magazine display, lots of pictures, unique layouts, and simple language make students have a new learning experience without losing the essence/meaning of the material to be delivered. The material contained in the teaching materials developed is Heat and its Transfer. The development model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection techniques, using product validation questionnaires by material experts, educational technology experts, teacher, and student response questionnaires. The results obtained from the development of HOTS-based teaching materials with the appearance of this magazine are very valid with a score of 81.71% from material experts, very valid with a score of 90.97% from educational technology experts. The teacher's response test was 90.73%, the student response test obtained a score of 87.70% with a very practical category. This shows that the HOTS-based teaching materials with the appearance of this magazine are valid and practical.
