Analisis Dan Potensi Komoditi Unggulan Perkebunan Provinsi Riau

Optimizing the potential of the Plantation sub-sector can be done by setting priorities for the development of the sub-sector which is the basis for Riau Province. The purpose of this study is to analyze the plantation sub-sector in each district in Riau Province. The basic method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The method of taking the research area is done purposively. The data used is secondary data which includes GRDP in Riau Province in 2015-2019. The data analysis method used is LQ and Shift Share analysis. The results of the LQ analysis reveal that the agricultural sector is the basic sector in Riau Province. The agricultural sub-sector which becomes the basic sub-sector is the Plantation sub-sector. The important role that the agricultural sector has in the economy has been a transformation of the economic structure. The shift share analysis for the leading plantation sub-sector in each district shows different results, some are positive, some are negative, which are certainly influenced by many factors such as natural conditions, community culture, etc., which means that these sectors have a competitive advantage. and competitive to be developed, at the same time this illustrates the direction of government policy in developing the economic sector.
