This study aims to test and analyze the effect of personal technical ability, information technology sophistication, and optimization of information technology on the effectiveness of accounting information systems with management participation as a moderating variable at OPD in Bukittinggi City. This research is quantitative research, using primary data obtained from the results of questionnaire answers and measured using a Likert scale. The population in this study were 30 OPDs located in Bukittinggi City. The sample of this study used non probability sampling technique, namely saturated sampling method with a total sample of 150 respondents. The results of this study indicate that partially personal technical ability, sophistication of information technology, and optimization of information technology have a positive effect on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. Management participation is able to moderate the relationship between information technology sophistication and the effectiveness of accounting information systems. While the ability of personal techniques and optimization of information technology on the effectiveness of accounting information systems cannot be moderated by management participation.
