KLASIFIKASI MOTIF BATIK RIAU MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK

Riau Batik is a significant cultural heritage that should be preserved for
future generations. Unfortunately, the local people in Riau are not fully aware of its
importance. Despite being a valuable cultural asset, there is minimal public
knowledge about its motifs. Therefore, a research project was undertaken to make
information about Riau batik motifs easily accessible anytime and anywhere by
developing an online-accessible website-based classification system. The goal is to
enhance knowledge and appreciation of Riau batik. This research employed the
Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm for classifying Riau batik motifs.
The dataset comprised 1,440 images, with 80% allocated to training data and 20%
to validation data. The training process focused on optimizing batch size and epoch
parameters to achieve the highest accuracy, resulting in an 89% accuracy using a
batch size of 16 and 50 epochs.
