Implementasi Virtual Private Network (Vpn) Wireguard Sebagai Keamanan Server Pada Jaringan Sahabat Net

ABSTRACT
This study aims to implement a Virtual Private Network (VPN) using Wireguard as a security solution on the Sahabat Net network in Perawang City. Sahabat Net, an RT/RW Net business, provides internet services with connections between users around Perawang, but currently does not have adequate network security. The use of Wireguard VPN is expected to provide better data security with private, secure, and cost-effective access via the public internet. Wireguard was chosen as the solution because it is a VPN protocol that uses advanced cryptography that guarantees high speed and data security. In addition, Wireguard supports various platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS, BSD, iOS, and Android), and uses a peer-to-peer concept that increases flexibility in network settings. Network security testing at Sahabat Net was carried out using Wireshark, and although the network conditions were quite stable, there were still security gaps that made the network vulnerable to unauthorized access. The implementation of Wireguard VPN is designed to create a secure connection on the Sahabat Net network so that it can protect customer data and maintain network connectivity from potential disruptions and data leaks. By using Wireguard, it is hoped that the Sahabat Net network will have higher security and remain easy to understand for the management, so that it can provide great benefits in maintaining the integrity and reliability of the services provided.
