ABSTRACT
State Senior High School 2 Siak Kecil is a senior high school located in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The academic assessment process at this school still relies on manual methods, where subject teachers record students' grades in notebooks. This process is time-consuming, prone to human error, and inefficient in final grade recapitulation and report card preparation. Therefore, a web-based academic application is needed to assist teachers in managing assignments, assessments, and report card generation more efficiently. This research aims to develop an academic applications that facilitates the academic assessment process at State Senior High School 2 Siak Kecil using the prototype method. The system was developed using the Laravel framework for the backend and Bootstrap for the frontend, with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database. The application development was conducted using the Visual Studio Code text editor. To optimize the system, testing was carried out using the ISO 25010 standard, covering various aspects. The functional suitability aspect achieved a score of 100%, indicating that all implemented features function correctly. The reliability aspect, tested using SonarQube, received an A rating, meaning there were no bugs in the system. The maintainability aspect also received an A rating, with 454 code smells detected, indicating that the system is easy to manage and update. Performance efficiency testing using Google PageSpeed Insights resulted in a perfect score of 100, demonstrating that the system is fast and responsive. The portability aspect was tested on four different browsers, achieving a 100% score,

proving that the system runs well on various platforms. Compatibility testing was conducted on 12 different laptop and smartphone devices, also achieving a 100% score, ensuring the system operates seamlessly across multiple devices. Security testing using SonarQube received an A rating, indicating a high level of security. Additionally, usability testing using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) produced results categorized as “Good” and “Above Average,” with attractiveness scoring 1.71, perspicuity 1.77, efficiency 1.82, dependability 1.42, stimulation 1.35, and novelty 0.88. Based on these test results, the developed web-based academic application is deemed feasible for use and can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the academic assessment process at State Senior High School 2 Siak Kecil.
