Penambahan Alat Bantu Centering Pada Pengukuran Kebulatan Menggunakan Roundness Tester Machine
ABSTRACT
This research aims to develop a roundness measuring instrument by adding a centering aid to the Roundness Tester Machine. Accurate roundness is crucial for ensuring product quality, especially in machine components. This study analyzes the effect of using the centering aid on the roundness measurement results of aluminum shafts. The testing method employed is the ring method, with measurements taken at 36 points at 10° intervals. The results indicate that the use of centering yields smaller roundness deviation values compared to measurements taken without centering. Analysis using the Paired Sample T-test shows a significant impact of centering on roundness measurement results, with a significance value of 0.001. The addition of this centering aid is expected to enhance the accuracy of roundness measurements using the Roundness Tester Machine.
