Komunikasi Persuasif Iyes Indonesia Dalam Melaksanakan Program Iyes Mengajar
Indonesian Youth Educate and Social (IYES) is a non-government organization (NGO) that accommodates the movement of Indonesian youths who care about education issues in 3T areas (Frontier, Outermost & Disadvantaged). This research discusses the persuasive communication of IYES Indonesia in implementing the IYES teaching program. Based on this, the objectives of this study are (1) to know how the credibility of the persuader, (2) to know how the target audience, (3) to know what kind of message is used, (4) to know what channels are used, (5) to know what kind of effect is used, (6) to know what the environment and time are like.
This research uses the applebaum and anatol models. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Informants in this study were determined through purposive techniques. Informants totaled 6 people consisting of, 4 IYES members, 1 permanent volunteer and 1 non-permanent volunteer. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. In addition, the data validity techniques used were source and time triangulation.
The results of this study indicate that IYES Indonesia's persuasive communication in recruiting volunteers in the IYES program teaches the credibility of the persuader, namely expertise with an educational background and a trustworthy persuader. Then the form of the message used is verbal and nonverbal messages with words that do not contain elements of coercion (reminder). In addition, the effect is that the IYES Teaching program has succeeded in attracting the interest of young people who have the enthusiasm to contribute to society. The channels used are personal and non-personal channels. Furthermore, the targets of IYES Indonesia are volunteer targets and IYES teaching community targets.
