Analisis Sektor Ekonomi Basis Dan Perubahan Struktur Ekonomi Dalam Pembangunan Di Kabupaten Siak (Tahun 2019-2023)

ABSTRACT
This research aims to 1) Identify which sectors are the base and non-base sectors in
Siak Regency from 2019 to 2023 using a location quotient approach. 2) To understand
how the changes and shifts in the economic structure of Siak Regency occur using a
Shift Share approach. 3) To determine which sector plays the most dominant role in
the economy of Siak Regency from 2019 to 2023. This research uses secondary data in
the form of time series from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Siak
Regency from 2019 to 2023. This research uses secondary data in the form of time
series from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Siak Regency from 2019-
2023. The analytical tools used in this research are: 1) Location Quotient (LQ) analysis
is used to determine the basic and non-basic economic sectors in the economy of Siak
Regency. 2) Shift Share analysis is used to determine changes and shifts in the
economic structure of Siak Regency. 3) Overlay analysis is used to determine which
sector plays a dominant role in the economy of Siak Regency. Thus, based on the
analysis results, it is concluded that there are six basic sectors with LQ values greater
than 1: Mining and Quarrying; Industrial and Manufacturing; Business Services;
Educational Services; Health and Social Activities; and Other Services. There are
eleven non-basic sectors with an average LQ value less than 1, namely the Agriculture,
Forestry, and Fisheries sectors.Electricity and Gas Procurement; Water Supply,
Waste, and Recycling Management; Construction; Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair
of Cars and Motorcycles; Transportation and Warehousing; Provision of Accommod
ation and Food and Beverages; Information and Communication; Financial and
Insurance Services; Real Estate; Government Administration, Defense, and Mandatory
Social Security. The overall Shif Share analysis results indicate good performance with
a positive value (5703509.83). The dominant sectors in Siak Regency are processing
industry, education services, health services, and social activities.
