Simulasi Pergeseran Dispersi Pada Serat Optik Moda Tunggal
A shift transmission in a single mode optical fiber by using standard optical fiber Corning® SMF-28e+® has been simulated. The radius of fiber is varied from 1.1 μm – 4.1 μm. The core radii are 5.1 μm 3.1 μm, 2.1 μm and 1.1 μm. The method used is OptiFiber Software to calculate the mode waveguide dispersion, material dispersion and total dispersion. The results showed that the core radius of 2.1 μm is located at the zero dispersion wavelength of 1.5748 μm. The spreading material on the wavelength of 1.55 μm has spread material to increase when the core radius is smaller. The waveguide dispersion and total dispersion at wavelength of 1.55 μm have the lowest spread in the a radius of 2.1 μm. This occurs due to the number of signals entering the optical source in optical fiber core, so there would be time difference light propagation radiating at the core and cladding.
