Positioning and mapping of areas in motor vehicles through the use of GPS has
been done. The determinations were performed by displacement vehicles at three
different times ie morning, afternoon and evening with GPS devices as a means of
measuring speed, time, distance dijadikaan mapping of the area. Pekanbaru areas
traversed entrance of FIMPA, The front gate of UNRI, tungu songket, tugu
selamat datang, Gramedia book stores, the front door MTQ, Soekarno Hatta road,
Pasar Pagi Arengka, gebang belakang of UNRI and ends at the entrance of the
FMIPA. The results of the research found that in the morning and afternoon trips,
travel time and vehicle speed the longer than during the day, travel time and
vehicle speed depending on the state of traffic at certain times.
