This study aims 1) To know the improving the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game at the age of 4-5 year in the post paud sejahtera cape bungo kampa district kampar regency. 2) To know the application of the teacher in improving the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game at the age of 4-5 year in the post paud sejahtera cape bungo kampa district kampar regency. 3) To know the high improving the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game at the age of 4-5 year in the post paud sejahtera cape bungo kampa district kampar regency. Type of research used PTK (Classroom Action Research). Based on the results of the research known that the ability to improving the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game at the age of 4-5 year in the post paud sejahtera cape bungo kampa district kampar regency. The application of the teachers in improving the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game at the age of 4-5 year in the post paud sejahtera cape bungo kampa district kampar regency conducted using 2 cycles as in 1 cycle there are 3 meetings. So through the game beam the learning process is carried out for 6 meetings. In each meeting there is an increase. The magnitude of the increase in the ability to improving the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game at the age of 4-5 year in the post paud sejahtera cape bungo kampa district kampar regency obtained from before the action to cycle I increased by 35,42 While the improvement of the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game from cycle I to cycle II amounted to 43,59%, and overall increase in the ability to recognize the letters through illustrated card game of the initial data into cycle II of 94,44%.
