The background of this research is the lack of ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children, can be seen some children are still not able to recognize the symbol of the numbers 1-10, some children have not been able to sort the symbol number 1-10, some children have not been able to connect the number symbol with objects . Therefore, it is necessary efforts that can improve the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children by playing Bowling. The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children through playing Bowling, to know how the application of play and to know how high the increase in the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers through playing Bowling. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). The research design is done in two cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle II, each cycle consists of planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection stage. The data collection tool used in this research is in the form of observation sheet. The number of samples in this study were 11 children. And the benefits for children that is increasing the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children through Bowling. Based on the assessment process analysis of the cycle there is an increase. The results obtained from this study are very satisfactory because it gets a mean value that is very meaningful from before the action of cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II, that is from the average value of 31.82% increased to 37.63% with the percentage of 18, 26% and from 37.63% increased to 55.81% with a percentage increase of 48.31%. From the results of the study concluded that playing Bowling gives a positive impact for children and can increase the ability to recognize the symbol of the number in children.
