Pengaruh Trade Openness, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Dan Inflasi Terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Di Provinsi Riau Tahun 2003 - 2022
This research aims to investigate the effect of Trade Openness, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and Inflation on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in Riau Province during the period from 2003 to 2022. The data used in this study are secondary data of a time series nature. The analytical method employed is multiple linear regression analysis, specifically the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method, using E-Views 12 software. The simultaneous analysis results show that the variables Trade Openness, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and Inflation collectively have a significant impact on the GRDP in Riau Province from 2003 to 2022. Meanwhile, the partial analysis indicates that the variables Trade Openness and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) have a positive effect on the GRDP in Riau Province. This implies that a higher degree of Trade Openness leads to higher economic growth in Riau Province, and an increase in FDI can enhance the GRDP in Riau Province. In contrast, inflation has a negative effect on the GRDP in Riau Province. Increasing inflation can result in a slowdown in the growth of the GRDP in Riau Province. Therefore, controlling inflation is crucial to maintaining economic stability and supporting sustainable economic growth in Riau Province. The coefficient of determination (R2) was obtained to determine the extent of the effect of all independent variables on the dependent variable. The analysis results revealed an R-squared value of 0.825438, indicating that 82.54% of the GRDP in Riau Province is effect by the variables Trade Openness, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and Inflation.
