Hubungan Antara Luasi Lesi Radiologis Foto Toraks Dengan BTA Sputum Pada Penderita TB Paru Dewasa di Poliklinik Paru RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru
Pulmonary tuberculosis is a major problem to public health in most developing
countries, including Indonesia. One of important aspect for its therapy is
diagnostic one which can be determined by clinical symptom, laboratory, and
radiology finding. A prospective study has done to find the correlation between
extension of pulmonary lesion at chest x-ray and acid fast bacilli sputum in adult
patient with pulmonary tuberculosis. Subject was patients with pulmonary
tuberculosis in pulmonary clinic and department of radiology pekanbaru arifin
achmad general hospital from 19 November 2007 until 9 January 2008. variable
were acid fast bacilli sputum and extension of pulmonary lesion at chest x-ray.
Significance of correlation were assessed by Chi-Square Test (α = 0,05).
Prevalence Ratio were used to get the risk factor. Data were collected from 97
patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. The major distribution of case was the age
group 15-44 years or productive age always more than 69,1%. Men were more
prevalent ( 61,9%) than women. Based on wide of pulmonary lesion, 85 patient
had advanced lesion ( 78 patients were AFB positive and 7 patients were AFB
negative) and 12 patients had minimal lesion ( 4 patients were AFB positive and
8 patients were AFB negative). There were a significant correlation between
