Implementation of key tasks and functions is an important thing in an organization or agency, with the implementation of the duties and functions of a good is expected to improve the performance as well. In accordance with the Governor's decision No. 48 of 2009, the duties and functions excluded Unit Sang Nila Utama Museum. But the reality in organizing the function is not running as it should. Formulation of this research is how the execution of the duties and functions and factors affecting UPT Sang Nila Utama Museum. The purpose of this study is to analyze implements selected duties and functions and to analyze the factors that affect the implementation of the duties and functions UPT Sang Nila Utama Museum in the city of Pekanbaru.
In this study the authors use the theory Suprihartono Jhon who explained that the implementation of the tasks measured: task mastery, ability to cooperate, ability to finish the job on time and the reports work right. The research method is qualitative observation and interviews with key informants as key informants and snowball sampling methods in the determination of subsequent informants and analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques.
After conducting the study authors concluded that the tasks and functions UPT Sang Nila Utama Museum in the city of Pekanbaru not work effectively because there are many other tasks and functions that have not been implemented. Human Resources required by Sang Nila Utama Museum UPT still inadequate particularly sexy management and development is an important field that should be occupied by competent personnel. Care facilities in the state of cultural heritage objects is not good, while facilities for visitors are also not met. Promotion is not running optimally, and the addition of the collection was also not done. Coordination and promotion of Sang Nila Utama Museum UPT with other government agencies are not running optimally, despite being done.
