Dampak Legalisasi Ganja Di Uruguay (2013) Terhadap Negara-Negara Di Kawasan Amerika
This research explain about the impact of goverment policy to legalize marijuana in Uruguay toward countries in the Americas. Uruguay is a first country to allow cultivation, distribution, and consumption of marijuana in the world. Marijuana is plant which producing a fiber, but better known as narcotic substance in the seeds that can make the user feeling pleasure without cause. This regulation was first proposed by Jose Alberto Mujica Cordano and approved by parlament and senate. This policy was criticized by INCB ( The International Control Board) because Uruguay participate country to signatured The Single Country Convention of 1961.
This research was used qualitative analysis. Theory used in this research was the theory of United State’s President, Dwight Eisenhower. According to Eisenhower in 1979, a phenomena known as the domino by the chain changes on the basis of geo-political and geo-strategic.
This research shows the impact of goverment policies in Uruguay could be a pioneer for countries in America to follow Uruguay. This can be viewed from Chile also legalize marijuana in 2014, Paraguay and Guatemala immediately legalize marijuana, and in most countries in America are being discussed to follow Uruguay policy.
