Analisis Kemiskinan Multidimensi Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau Tahun 2023
ABSTRACT
Poverty measurement often only focuses on the monetary aspect, as done by BPS. However, to identify the poor more comprehensively or multidimensionally, a non-monetary approach is also needed. Therefore, P3KE data will be used as reference data to see multidimensional poverty. This study aims to identify the characteristics and analyze multidimensional poverty in Meranti Regency and see the relationship between characteristics and multidimensional poverty. This district was selected purposively because it has the highest poverty rate in the province. This study uses a quantitative method with a census approach, covering 8,632 families from decile 1 to decile 4 based on P3KE data in 2023. The results showed that 22,538 individuals or 5,690 households were classified as multidimensionally poor, with a headcount ratio of 0.6661. The intensity of poverty was recorded at 0.4448, which indicates that poor individuals experience deficiencies in four to five welfare indicators. The IKM value obtained was 0.296282 or 29.62%, indicating that almost one-third of households in Kepulauan Meranti Regency experience severe poverty in various dimensions such as education, health, and standard of living. The results of the Spearman Rank analysis show that all indicators tested have a negative relationship with multidimensional poverty.
