Pengaruh Semangat Kerja Terhadap Produktivitas Buruh Batu Bata
Intense job competition in the era of modernization demands every individual to possess skills, knowledge, and rapid adaptability. Indonesia, with its abundant natural resources, has great potential to improve community welfare through resource processing, one of which is through small and medium industries (SMIs). SMIs, such as the brick industry in Sialang Sakti Village, have made significant contributions to the local economy and are capable of absorbing a large workforce. The brick industry in Sialang Sakti Village has survived for more than 25 years, relying heavily on human labor as the main factor determining productivity. This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation on the productivity of brick workers in Sialang Sakti Village, considering the challenges of heavy labor, wages that vary based on quantity, and a work system without targets or contracts. Using a quantitative research method with an inferential approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 78 brick worker respondents. The results show that the majority of workers have high work motivation and productivity. However, correlation analysis using SPSS version 25 showed a correlation coefficient value of 0.080 with a significance of 0.488 (p-value > 0.05). This indicates that work motivation has a very weak and statistically insignificant effect on the productivity of brick workers in Sialang Sakti Village.
