This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN
17 Pekanbaru, with 28 students of class VA as the research subjects. This type of
research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental method. This study uses
the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. In this design, before being given
treatment, the sample is given a pretest (initial test) and at the end of learning
after being given treatment, a posttest (final test) is carried out. The data
collection technique uses a multiple-choice test technique. The results of this study
are seen from the learning outcomes with an average pretest of 57.86 and an
average posttest of 84.79 which shows that the learning outcomes after the
implementation of the cooperative learning type group investigation learning
model have increased. There is an influence of the cooperative learning model of
the group investigation type, based on the t-test (Paired Samples Test) that Ha is
accepted and H0 is rejected with sig (2-tailed)
