Perancangan Children Creativity Center Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Edukatif Di Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The development of creativity in early childhood, especially during the golden
age, is very important for future physical, mental and intelligence development.
However, Indonesian children's creativity is still low due to formal education that
is less supportive of creativity aspects and limited supporting facilities, as is the
case in Pekanbaru City. Despite its Child Friendly City status, Pekanbaru only has
one creative space for children with limited capacity and facilities. This condition
shows the need for a representative facility to support the exploration and
development of children's creativity. Children Creativity Center is designed for
children aged 2-12 years old by integrating education and recreation through an
Educational Architecture approach. This approach creates a fun learning
environment with design elements such as sequence, visibility, circulation,
materials and colors, and building form. The facility is designed to encourage
children to play, learn, and create, while stimulating motor, cognitive, and socialemotional
development. With this facility, it is hoped that children's rights to
expression in accordance with the Child Friendly City program can be fulfilled,
and make a real contribution in improving the quality of children's creativity in
Pekanbaru.
