Strategi Komunikasi Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika, Statistik Dan Persandian Kabupaten Karimun Dalam Menyebarluaskan Informasi Pimpinan Daerah Kepada Publik
This study discusses the communication strategy of the Communication, Information, Statistics and Cryptography Office of Karimun Regency. Effective public communication management is an assessment to increase public trust in local governments in the digital era. However, challenges such as lack of innovation in content publishing, limited Human Resources (HR) and low community participation remain obstacles. This research was conducted to analyze the communication strategy of the Karimun Communication and Information Department to increase the effectiveness of information dissemination.
This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The informants in this study consisted of 8 people who were taken based on purposive sampling techniques, namely the head of the Communication and Information Service, the Head of Public Communication Management, the Media Management Sub-Coordinator, the Media Relations Sub-Coordinator, the Media and Community Management Admin of Karimun Regency. Data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Hubermen model, namely data collection, data presentation, data reduction and conclusions. The validity of the data uses the technique through triangulation.
The results of the study show that the communication strategy of the Communication and Information Office of Karimun Regency in disseminating information from regional leaders to the community. Diskominfo Public Relations plays the role of a communicator who collaborates with Steakholders to convey information widely. The message is conveyed in the form of photos, videos, and infographics that are informative and persuasive, but are still not interesting and need innovation. The media used includes social media, electronic media, print media and group communication, but their effectiveness is still low due to the lack of public participation. Khalayaak segmentation is aimed at adjusting media based on age groups and khlawic preferences. The effect of this communication strategy has not been maximized because public interaction is still low, so a more creative and interactive approach is needed to increase community involvement.
