identifikasi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus (pdbk) disabilitas mental di sd negeri 167pekanbaru
This research aims to identify Students with Special Needs (PDBK) with
mental disabilities at SD Negeri 167 Pekanbaru. The mental disabilities studied
include emotional impairment, autism, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD). This research uses quantitative descriptive methods with data collection
techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects
were all students from grades 1 to 6 at the school. The research results showed that
out of a total of 846 students, 49 students (5.79%) were identified as GDPK. In detail,
one student (0.12%) had indications of autism, 37 students (4.37%) had ADHD, three
students (0.35%) had hearing impairments, and eight students (0.95%) had multiple
special needs (ADHD and mentally retarded). These findings underline the
importance of early identification to support the effective implementation of inclusive
education. By understanding the unique characteristics and needs of GDPK, schools
can design more appropriate learning programs and provide training for teachers to
manage inclusive classrooms. This research contributes to the development of
inclusive education policies in Indonesia and emphasizes the important role of
teachers and parents in supporting GDPK learning. The findings also serve as a
reference for further research on intervention strategies and implementation of
inclusive education.
