Analisis Penyebab Defect Product Sheeter Roll Pada Mesin Winder
ABSTRACT
A winder machine is a machine that functions to roll a jumbo roll and cut the roll where the rolls will later be adjusted to customer demand. During the winding process, problems are often found in the form of defects or defects in sheeter roll products, which can affect the physical quality, aesthetics, and performance of the product when used by end customers. These defects can appear in various forms such as wrinkle, ridging, starring, dented, web break, damage core, to lose core. This problem not only affects product quality, but can also cause financial losses for the company due to increased reject products, rework costs, and reduced production efficiency. So this final project aims to study the types of defects in sheeter roll products on the winder machine, analyze the causes of defects in sheeter roll products on the winder machine and provide solutions to minimize defects in sheeter roll products on the winder machine. The method used in this study is to conduct interviews with several operators and supervisors, then match them with literature studies that are in accordance with the results of the interviews. Based on the results of the analysis, there is one dominant type of defect in the winder machine #1 with a total cumulative percentage with a weight of 52% and a total roll wrinkle of 134 for the period April-June 2024. These results are obtained from the fishbone diagram which is used to find the root cause of the defects that occur by identifying several factors, such as man factors, machine factors, and method factors. The solution to repairing both types of defects is the what, who, where, when, why and how (5W + 1H) method.
