ABSTRACT
The academic guidance process in the Informatics Engineering Study Program at Universitas Riau is still carried out informally through platforms such as WhatsApp, resulting in a lack of documentation, slow communication, and minimal supervision from the head of the program. This study aims to develop a web-based academic guidance reservation system to make the guidance process more organized, well-documented, and easier to monitor. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with a two-iteration prototype approach, and the system was implemented using the Laravel framework. Testing was conducted based on the ISO/IEC 25010 standard, covering eight quality aspects with the following results: 100% success in 20 functional suitability scenarios, stable system performance across devices (reliability), fast response time with a PageSpeed score of 96 (performance efficiency), compatibility across various browsers, no security vulnerabilities (security), well-structured and maintainable code (maintainability, technical debt ratio 1.2%), and smooth operation across different operating systems (portability). Usability testing using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) involving 87 respondents showed “Excellent” results across all scales. The results of this study indicate that the developed application is capable of addressing various issues in the academic guidance process and supports a more organized, well-recorded, and accessible system for all users.
