ABSTRACT
As a growth center in Riau, the city of Pekanbaru faces numerous challenges with transportation infrastructure, particularly concerning pedestrian pathways. Jalan Hangtuah, which serves as a major route connecting various essential facilities, including schools, mosques, and hospitals, experiences significant pedestrian traffic during peak hours. However, the condition of the road in this area is often inadequate, frequently obstructed by street vendors. This research aims to analyze the level of service of pedestrian facilities on Hangtuah Street, Pekanbaru City, as one of the main corridors with high activity levels. The research method uses field observation techniques and pedestrian surveys to evaluate the existing conditions of pedestrian facilities based on service standards regulated in the Minister of Public Works Regulation of 2014. The results of this research explain Pedestrian walkway width > 12 meters/person, maximum speed 98.749 m/minute, pedestrian flow volume 2.5 people/meter/minute, volume capacity ratio 0.032 people/m². that the level of service for pedestrian walkways on Hangtuah Street, Pekanbaru City, according to the Minister of Public Works Regulation of 2014 is A, because all pedestrians can move in the desired space without any changes in pedestrian movement.
