Pengaruh Pupuk Batubara Dan Npk Terhadap Waktu Muncul Bunga Dan Produksi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.)
ABSTRACT
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of Indonesia's main plantation
commodities, especially in Riau Province. One of the key factors influencing the
productivity of oil palm is the time required for flowering and fruit maturation.
This study aimed to evaluate the interaction effects of coal-based fertilizer and
NPK fertilizer, and to determine the optimal combination that affects flowering
time and production of oil palm plants. A factorial completely randomized design
(CRD) was used with two factors: coal fertilizer (1, 2, and 3 kg per plant) and
NPK fertilizer (1, 2.5, and 3.5 kg per plant), with three replications, resulting in 27
experimental units. Observed parameters included time of sheath emergence,
flower emergence, female flower receptivity, male flower anthesis, sex ratio, fruit
maturation period, number of fresh fruit bunches harvested per plant, and bunch
weight. The results showed no significant interaction between coal and NPK
fertilizers on all observed parameters. However, NPK fertilizer alone had a
significant effect on fruit maturation time and bunch weight. The best
combination for accelerating fruit maturation was 3 kg of coal fertilizer with 3.5
kg of NPK, producing ripe fruit in 141.83 days. The combination of 2 kg coal
fertilizer and 2.5 kg NPK significantly increased bunch weight to 8.23 kg.
Therefore, the combination of 2 kg coal fertilizer and 2.5 kg NPK is
recommended to improve oil palm yield and shorten fruit maturation time.
