Pengembangan Metode Iterasi Bracketing Untuk Menyelesaikan Persamaan Nonlinear
This final project presents the development of a new numerical method called the New Bracketing Iteration Method (MIBB) for solving single-variable nonlinear equations. MIBB is a modification of the regula-falsi method, incorporating a combination of the bracketing approach and adaptive linear interpolation. The main advantages of this method are its derivative-free nature and guaranteed global convergence, which make it stable in iteratively narrowing the root-finding interval. Numerical tests on three nonlinear functions show that NBIM produces more efficient, accurate, and faster results compared to other methods such as the bisection method, regula-falsi, modified algorithm (MA), and hybrid closed algorithm (HCA). Therefore, MIBB can serve as a reliable alternative for numerically solving nonlinear equations with high accuracy and low computational cost.
