Analisis Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja Perempuan Di Kabupaten/Kota Se-Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the Female Labor Force
Participation Rate (FLFPR) in districts/municipalities across Riau Province.
FLFPR refers to the ratio between the number of women in the labor force and the
number of working-age women, reflecting the extent to which women actively
participate in economic activities. The relatively low FLFPR in Riau Province has
become an important issue, as increasing women’s participation in the labor market
is believed to contribute to improving both women’s welfare and the regional
economy. This research uses secondary data with a quantitative approach,
employing panel data regression analysis through the Common Effect Model
(CEM). The independent variables include economic growth, education, and
minimum wage, while the dependent variable is the FLFPR. The analysis results
show that, partially, all three independent variables have a positive and significant
effect on FLFPR. Simultaneously, economic growth, education, and minimum wage
also have a significant effect on the FLFPR in districts/municipalities across Riau
Province. The findings reveal that education is the most dominant factor influencing
the FLFPR. This indicates the importance of improving the quality and accessibility
of education for women as a strategy to encourage their participation in the labor
market and enhance economic welfare in Riau Province.
