Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja Dan Supervisi Akademik Terhadap Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru Sma Negeri Di Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Kabupaten Kampar
Teachers are at the forefront in creating quality human resources because teachers are the ones who deal directly with students. In the hands of teachers, quality students will be produced, both academically, in terms of expertise, emotional maturity, and morals and spirituality who are ready to live with the demands of their time. Teachers as learning agents are required to have certain competencies. Pedagogical competence is a competence related to learning management.
In order to improve teacher competence, especially pedagogical competence, it is not as easy as imagined. Pedagogical competence in practice has many factors that will affect the quality of learning. Teachers who have high motivation will always work hard to overcome all kinds of problems they face in the hope of achieving better and optimal results. A teacher will not be able to carry out his duties as an educator without mastering pedagogical competence. This competence is the core of teacher activities in schools, to be able to master this competence, a teacher must have high motivation to strive to seek knowledge and increase his experience.
A teacher who has a drive from within himself, namely interest, enthusiasm and feeling the need for this knowledge, will do everything possible so that his insight regarding pedagogical competence is broadened. Then the teacher's pedagogical competence is also identified as being influenced by academic supervision.
This study raises the research problem of: (1) Is there a significant and positive influence of work motivation on the pedagogical competence of teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency (2) Is there a significant and positive influence of academic supervision on the pedagogical competence of teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency? (3) Is there a significant and positive influence between work motivation and academic supervision on the pedagogical competence of teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency? Then based on the formulation of the problem, the objectives of this study include; (1) To analyze the influence of work motivation on the pedagogical competence of teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. (2) To analyze the influence of academic supervision on the pedagogical competence of teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. (3) To analyze the influence between work motivation and academic supervision on the pedagogical competence of teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency.
This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research that will be used is the type of ex post facto research. In this study, three variables were tested to determine the extent of the influence between the independent and dependent variables. The variable X1 (independent) is Work motivation, the variable X2 (independent) is Academic supervision, and the variable Y (dependent) is Pedagogical competence. The population in this study were all teachers of State Senior High Schools in Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency, totaling 57 people with a total of 2 high schools. And the sample in this study was 57 teachers, this is because the sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling which is included in non-probability sampling. The trial was conducted on 30 high school teachers in Gunung Sahilan District, the trial was taken from other schools but had the same or almost the same characteristics as the State Senior High School teachers in Kampar Kiri District. Meanwhile, what was used to process and analyze the data in this study was the research data profile analysis technique in the form of descriptions, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research data was analyzed using the SPSS (statistical package for social science) Version.25 program.
The results of the study showed that (1) a positive influence and significant relationship was obtained between the work motivation variable (X1) on the pedagogical competence (Y) of Senior High School Teachers in Kampar Kiri District, and the magnitude of the influence was 55.4% with a moderate interpretation, because there was still 44.6%, determined by other factors (2) a positive influence and significant relationship between the academic supervision variable (X2) on the pedagogical competence (Y) of Senior High School Teachers in Kampar Kiri District and the magnitude of the influence was 54.8% with a moderate interpretation, because there was still 45.2% determined by other factors, and (3) a positive influence and significant relationship between the work motivation variable (X1) and academic supervision (X2) on the pedagogical competence (Y) of Senior High School Teachers in Kampar Kiri District and the magnitude of the influence was 56% with a moderate interpretation, because there was still 44% determined by other factors.
